In the plain of Saïss, on the edge of the Middle Atlas, the region of Fez is an invitation to discover. The great diversity of landscapes, green valleys, cedar forests, thermal springs, mountains in yellow ocher tones are all occasions for varied and exotic excursions.
Moulay Yacoub
Located 20 km west of Fez, in a green setting in the spring, this spa is known for its hot and sulfur waters that heal rheumatism and ailments. The thermal baths also offer pleasant fitness programs. This resort, which has always been frequented by Moroccans, welcomed André Gide and Henry de Montherlant in the 1930s.
Sidi Harazem
15 km from Fez, this thermal spring has been known since the 16th century for its therapeutic properties. These waters provide their benefits in the comfort of a modern spa. Between two glasses, go near the white Koubba of Sidi Harazem. In the midst of eucalyptus, palm trees and oleanders, one can see an old sacred pool covered with a dome.
Sefrou
Sefrou is a small Berber town 30km south of Fez, appreciated for its waterfalls and the diversity of its landscapes. An important agricultural center, it is famous for its “Cherry Festival” in June. A few kilometers, by a road that climbs among the olive trees, we arrive at Bhalil, famous for its troglodyte dwellings.
Imouzzer du Kandar
About thirty kilometers from Fes, Imouzzer du Kandar is a charming small town perched at 1300 m altitude, mild climate in summer. A haven of tranquility. The region is known for fruit trees: apple trees, walnut trees, fig trees … The surroundings invite to beautiful excursions. There is trout fishing and mushroom picking.
